Every month Heidi picks one cookie for the bakery menu to be our Cookies for a Cause cookie, and we turn 100% of the profits from it into Maven gift cards for families with a child in treatment at Seattle Children's Hospital. You order it the same way you'd order anything else, and it shows up with the rest of your week.
How Cookies for a Cause works
The cookie changes every month, so there's a new one to try on the bakery menu, with Cookies for a Cause in its name so it's easy to spot among the others. When you buy it, the profit from that cookie goes into Maven gift cards, and those gift cards go to families at Seattle Children's so they can have meals from our kitchen through a hospital stay or a long stretch of appointments.
It isn't a separate order or a separate checkout, just one more cookie in your cart, delivered with the rest of your order on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Why Seattle Children's
We started Cookies for a Cause in 2023, and for the first two years the cookie supported a different local charity each month. Those cookies raised more than $20,000 for local charities, and in 2025 we put the whole program behind one partner, Seattle Children's Hospital.
When a child is in the hospital, the rest of the family still has to eat, usually between appointments and long days nobody planned for, and cooking dinner is the last thing anyone has time for. Food is what we know how to give, so that's what the cookies pay for.

If you'd like to give without buying a cookie, add a $5 meal contribution to your order. You can add as many as you like, and they go toward meals for families at Seattle Children's.
And if you do buy the cookie, take a picture before it's gone and post it, tagging @mavenmeals and @seattlechildrens, so more people find out the program is there.

Can I order just the cookie?
Yes. There's no subscription and no minimum, so the cookie can be your whole order or one more thing in your week's delivery. Order by Sunday night at midnight, and delivery is a flat $4.99, or free once your order passes $95.
